Qualifications and experience:

As per the latest UGC Regulations on Minimum Qualifications for Appointment of Teachers in Universities and Colleges and other Measures for the Maintenance of Standards in Higher Education

Scales of Pay:

UGC scales of pay as per the recommendations of 7^th CPC, consistent with the West Bengal State as far as possible.

Areas of Expertise required and Eligibility as per UGC norms

A. For Assistant Professor:

• Broad Area: Functional Analysis
• Related Area: Harmonic Analysis
• First class or equivalent at the postgraduate/preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout
• Publications of high standard in reputed journals
• Some years of teaching and/or research experience excluding the duration of Ph.D.

B. For Associate Professor:

• Broad Area: Nonlinear Dynamics
• Related areas: Differential Equations, Nonlinear Differential Equations, Difference Equations, Dynamical Systems, Chaos, Discrete Dynamical Systems, Numerical, Integral Transformations
• Some Other Emerging Areas: Nonlinear Dynamics as applied to Biological Systems, Ecological Modelling, etc.
• First class or equivalent at the postgraduate/preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout
• Publications of high standard in reputed journals
• Teaching and research experience as per UGC Regulations/norms for the direct recruitment of Associate Professor
